About our Leadership

Jay Salee, Founded Tree Life, ABA LLC in 2020 with a specific vision in mind. One of growing skills and empowering the lives of children on the ASD spectrum and or with other developmental disabilities and learning disorders, in addition to their families and direct/indirect consumers. Accomplishing this goal through evidence based ABA interventions and procedures. Establishing independence and social skills through meaningful and measurable goals and outcomes for the child. Ensuring those target skills are done across settings, people for generalization of skills.

Jay comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism. Jay comes with a PA State Board of Medicine License in Behavior Specialist. Jay has worked in the field for over 19 years in various roles and capacities; obtaining vital experiences and crucial knowledge through the years. Jay graduated from Temple University's Graduate program with a certificate in ABA, followed by a Double Master's Degree from Endicott Van Loan School in ABA & Autism. Jay has experience in the field from the roles of a TSS, BHT-ABA, BC-ABA, LBS, ABA Program Manager, Behavior Specialist Consultant, in addition to working in positions where his clinical expertise was implemented across a wide span of diagnosis in both children and adult populations.

Arthur Dowdy, PhD, BCBA-D

Clinical Director | Tree Life, ABA LLC

Tree Life, ABA LLC is proud to welcome Arthur (Art) Dowdy, PhD, BCBA-D, as our Clinical Director. Dr. Dowdy is a nationally recognized behavior analyst, researcher, educator, and clinician whose work has significantly contributed to the advancement of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), autism intervention, behavioral health treatment, and special education. In addition to serving as Clinical Director for Tree Life, ABA LLC, Dr. Dowdy is an Assistant Professor at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he teaches within both the Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education programs. As Principal Investigator of Project IMPACT-Autism, a federally funded research initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Defense, Dr. Dowdy leads innovative efforts focused on improving outcomes for autistic learners and the professionals who support them. His unique perspective as both a practicing clinician and accomplished researcher allows him to bridge evidence-based research with high-quality clinical care.

Prior to his academic appointment, Dr. Dowdy spent years providing direct clinical services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and severe challenging behavior across home, school, and community settings. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D), he has extensive experience conducting behavioral assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, implementing positive behavior support interventions, and training caregivers and professionals to promote meaningful behavior change. He has also served as a certified special education teacher, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of educational systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family-centered care. His clinical expertise includes functional assessment and treatment of severe behavior, communication interventions, adaptive skill development, social skills instruction, behavioral health, and positive behavior support.

Dr. Dowdy's scholarly contributions have been published in many of the most respected journals in the fields of behavior analysis, autism, and special education, including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism, Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, Behavior Analysis in Practice, and Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions. He serves on multiple editorial boards and regularly presents research at national and international conferences. As Clinical Director of Tree Life, ABA LLC, Dr. Dowdy provides clinical leadership, treatment oversight, staff supervision, quality assurance guidance, and evidence-based consultation to ensure that every child and family receives ethical, individualized, and effective behavioral health services. His commitment to clinical excellence, scientific rigor, compassionate care, and family empowerment aligns closely with Tree Life, ABA LLC's mission of helping children build meaningful skills and achieve greater independence across home, school, and community environments.
